Flower Life
Because we harvest and ship the same day, our flowers are up to 5 days fresher and last longer than flowers purchased at a retail florist. By following our flower care guidelines you can expect 2 to 3 weeks of vase life. When the flowers finally lose their freshness, they may be left in the vase without water to become a stunning dried flower arrangement that lasts years.
Flower Care
Each order includes detailed care instructions and a 3 week supply of flower food to prolong freshness and beauty. For the longest vase life we recommend cutting ½ inch from each stem just prior to placing the arrangement into a solution of 1 packet of flower food (provided) mixed with fresh water. The fresh water solution should be refreshed and the flower stems trimmed an additional ½ inch at 3 to 4 day intervals.
Dried Protea
Protea make a great dried flower arrangement as their leaves do not drop to the ground or shrivel when they die. You can either keep flowers in the same vase, or store them upright to allow them to open in a dark, well-ventilated location. Leave the flowers for 2 to 3 weeks, letting the colors change hue, then rearrange the flowers to create a rewarding display of lasting beauty.
Shipping
We pick your flowers for each order. All shipments will arrive in one or two days after the flowers are cut. We ship using UPS Ground in Southern California and UPS 2nd Day Air for the rest of the country. Packaging
The flower arrangement is delivered in a cardboard box made from 100% recycled material. The bouquet is artfully arranged and ready to be placed in a vase of your choice. A gift card is optional.
Damages
We package our flowers to safely ship using standard shipping services. If your flowers appear dry, follow the included care instructions and they will pep up within 1-2 days. If there are broken or damaged stems in your order, please email us at support@buyproteaflowers.com within 3 days and attach photos to your message.
